We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne skip driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all relevant regulations. This role requires a commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate various routes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5 tonne skip lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
- Deliver products to designated locations, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to health and safety standards while on the road and at delivery sites.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving a flatbed lorry.
- Excellent navigational skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods safely.
- A valid UK driving licence appropriate for operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle is essential.
