Nursery 1:1 SEN Support
Unqualified, ideally Level 2 or 3 qualified
Footsteps Cannock Nursery & Pre-School are seeking a SEN 1:1 Support to join their team to help care in their pre-school. Within this role you will support and promote their individual development and support mealtimes and toileting needs. Footsteps Cannock offers children in their early years high quality care and education in a friendly setting. Our team of staff are committed to caring for children to the highest standard because our whole aim is to offer children a happy, supportive, caring, safe environment in order that all who come to the nursery have an enjoyable day. You MUST have SEN experience and you will work closely alongside the SENCO practitioner.
Main responsibilities include:
- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
- Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the day, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
- Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures
Requirements and skills:
- Full and relevant Level 2 / Level 3 childcare qualification
- SEN Experience - desirable
- Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
- Experience working with SEN children - essential
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
