Personal Assistant: One 2 One Support

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable person to assist a bright, articulate, and cheerful chap in his 30s. He has a complex physical disability and relies on a powered wheelchair for his mobility.

You will assist the service user in maintaining independence by completing basic household tasks, providing personal care, engaging in exciting daily outings, and attending medical visits, ensuring his needs are met with care and support.
Daily Outings and Adventures Include
- Scenic Drives, Coastal Walks, and Seaside Resorts.
- Cafes, Restaurants and Garden Centres.
- Outdoor Attractions and Family Entertainment Shows
- Museums, Aquariums and Zoo visits
- Shopping Centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote independence and build confidence.
- Establish a steady routine to maintain stability and reliability.
- Accompany the service user to essential medical appointments.
Flexible Schedules Available
Schedule One (18 hrs/week)
- Wednesdays and Fridays: 9:00 AM - 16:00 PM
- Sundays: 13:00 PM - 20:00 PM (Only two per month)
Schedule Two (18 hrs/week)
- Wednesdays and Fridays: 9:00 AM - 15:00 PM
- Sundays: 14:00 PM - 20:00 (Per week)
The employer is committed to providing flexible shift arrangements, tailored to the successful candidate while ensuring the service user’s needs are fully and effectively met.
Your Daily Tasks Will Include
- Safely transport the service user in a specially adapted automatic vehicle.
- Provide personal care, including toileting, bathing, and dressing.
- Assisting with household tasks and running errands.
- Accompany the service user on daily outings and exciting adventures.
Who We’re Looking For
- A calm, professional attitude with strong organisational skills.
- A passionate driver committed to ensuring safe journeys.
- Must be at least 25 for the provided vehicle insurance coverage
- Physically fit and capable of maintaining an active daily routine.
- In good medical health with overall physical well-being.
- Reliable, dedicated, and strong decision making skills.

Work Environment
These duties will take place in a calm, peaceful, and safe home setting, where the service user lives with his mother. His main carer provides her support at different times, ensuring continuity of care.
