We are looking for a Wrap & Despatch Operative to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating interiors that last for generations.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Wrap & Despatch Operative is wrapping and documenting high value, bespoke furniture and fittings. Making sure a complete package is well labelled, documented and supplied to our installation team in a well organised way.
Please note that this is a physical role and will involve manual lifting.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Quality controlling, re-assembling, wrapping, and labelling bespoke furniture ready for despatch.
- Communicating with the production team on the requirement within the project for re-assembly and despatch.
- Maintaining a high standard of organisation and tidy work environment within despatch department.
- Loading and offloading high value, bespoke furniture with great care.
- Maintaining and cleaning company vehicles.
- The delivery and collection of items as required using company vehicles.
- Assisting Stock Controller with any oversize deliveries and any stores requirement.
- Assisting Logistics Manager with any health & safety requirements throughout the company.
- Occasional tasks maybe required in the Design Building.
- Movement of finished goods between Warehouse and Production when required.
- Assisting and standing in for the Stock Controller as required.
Skills & Experience
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
- Practically minded.
- Full clean UK driving licence with medium to large vehicle experience.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety.
- Good knowledge of installation of furniture would be advantageous.
- Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team, with a can-do attitude.
Desirable
- Computer literate, use of Teams and Excel advantageous but training can be given.
- Forklift licence
