Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, particularly with sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with various tools and equipment to produce high-quality products that meet our specifications.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble components from sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to perform welding tasks.
- Execute mig welding techniques to join metal parts securely.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations required during the fabrication process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding, particularly with mig welding techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools relevant to fabrication tasks.
- Experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
