The main duties of the role are, to provide administration and clerical support on the units ensuring that an efficient communications systems are adhered to. Provide solutions for routine queries/concerns about services and deciding what to refer to senior staff. To provide essential cover for other administrative staff as requested by the ward
manager.
To be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and communication skills working effectively as part of a team within a healthcare environment with patients, visitors, relatives as well as medical, nursing and therapy staff.
To use own initiative and ability to prioritise own work. Arrange team meetings as requested by colleagues across a designated group of ICUs. To be the point of contact as SystmOne champion to disseminate new functions within the system and ensure all staff are made aware of any changes. Support the Ward Manager in the recruitment and retention of new staff and associated processes used by the Trust e.g. NHS Jobs / TRAC.
Assist the Ward Manager in reviewing office / administrative procedures. To liaise with senior nursing staff regarding forthcoming staffing requirement

a) Assists the Ward Manager / Matron with any review of office or
administrative procedures by inviting and collating feedback from clinical
and administrative colleagues
