2 week rolling rota 10pm-8am (wk1 4on, wk2 3on)
Dumfries and Galloway Mental Health Association is an
established in 1988, providing care and support for adults across
Dumfries and Galloway with a diagnosed mental health condition. We are a Regional Scottish Charity with a strong vision and drive to deliver excellence in care support provision.
We are looking for a full time Waking Night Support Workers to join our established team providing support for up to ten adults living in a Registered Care Home. You’ll play a vital role
in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of our residents during the night, while
supporting their individual needs with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and practical support to residents throughout the night
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond promptly to any distress or emergencies
- Carry out regular checks and record-keeping in line with care plans and policies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and calm environment overnight
- Collaborate with day staff to ensure smooth handovers and consistent care
- Accurately complete night logs, incident reports, and documentation
- Perform manual handling techniques, following training and guidelines
You will have previous experience in social care and a relevant qualification; we will in return invest and commit
to fully specialist training for the right candidate.
You will work for a Charity that puts adult wellbeing and

We are committed to safer care for adults receiving our
services, as such we will be using a demanding and rigorous selection process
to fill this post including a Screening Interview, Panel Interview, Service
User involvement and full Disclosure Scotland PVG check. References will be
taken after successful Screening Interview.
