Do you love nature, enjoy working outdoors, and want to make a difference in your community? Longmead Community Farm is looking for enthusiastic Volunteer Woodland Assistants to help care for and conserve our beautiful woodland areas.
Role Summary
As a Volunteer Woodland Assistant, you'll support the maintenance and sustainable management of our woodland spaces. Your work will help preserve biodiversity, support outdoor learning, and ensure a safe and welcoming natural environment for all.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with woodland maintenance including path clearing, coppicing, and habitat management
· Help plant native trees and shrubs
· Support wildlife monitoring and biodiversity record-keeping
· Participate in conservation tasks such as invasive species control and habitat restoration
· Maintain tools and equipment used in woodland work
· Support outdoor learning and nature-based activities
· Follow health and safety guidelines when working in woodland areas
