Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.

We are currently seeking to appoint an Instrumental Music Tutor (Violin) at our Pakenham campus to provide individual tutoring for preliminary students through to VCE and support the Music teacher with delivery of the Year 2 strings program. For the right candidate, there is also the possibility of a role as Strings Coordinator.
Having obtained relevant qualifications and experience as an instrumental music tutor, the successful candidate will also possess the following important characteristics:
- Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith
- Ability to provide a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their teaching practice, manner, relationships and general lifestyle
- Ability to offer flexible teaching methods to suit individual student needs
- Experience preparing students for AMEB and VCE exams (essential)
- Experience directing strings orchestra and/or strings quartet (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to create a charismatic and enjoyable teaching environment for students
