JCT600 Accident and Repair Centre are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Parts Advisor Apprentice to join Porsche. This apprenticeship is a fantastic starting point for anyone eager to launch a career in the automotive sector. You’ll gain hands-on experience in parts operations and customer service while working alongside industry experts. Throughout the programme, you’ll build a solid foundation in areas such as parts identification, stock control, and delivering first-class service to customers. Responsibilities:
- Learn to identify and locate automotive parts using electronic catalogs, manuals, and computer systems.
- Assist customers in-person, over the phone, and via email to fulfill their parts requirements and inquiries.
- Collaborate with service technicians and mechanics to ensure accurate parts ordering and timely delivery.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
- Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and placing replenishment orders as needed.
- Utilize point-of-sale systems to process transactions, generate invoices, and manage customer accounts.
- Provide product recommendations, technical advice, and pricing information to customers as needed.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, striving to achieve satisfactory resolutions.
- Uphold company policies and procedures regarding parts sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and industry awareness.
Qualification:
The Programme lasts for 15 months and you'll achieve a nationally recognised qualification: Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse 15 months +12 weeks for EPA (End Point Assessment).
Working Week:
A standard workweek typically consists of 40 hours, scheduled from Monday to Friday, starting at 8:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm. Nevertheless, the specific working hours may vary depending on the requirements of individual Dealers.
Approximately 20% of your total work hours will be dedicated to 'off-the-job' training. This is a mixture of online classrooms and face-to-face learning at the Calex UK Training Academy in Slough.
Salary:
Our employers determine the level of pay our learners receive. All employers are required to pay, at least, The National Apprenticeship Wage.
Entry requirements and qualifications:
- Aged 16+
- Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English or equivalent.
- A strong interest in learning about vehicle parts and stock management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn from experienced parts advisors.
- Good computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Working towards or in possession of a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
All of our Apprentices are employed through the Dealer Network and attend week-long block training at the Calex UK Training Academy in Slough.
Block training is complemented by a combination of regular coaching visits from one of our experienced Coaches as well as Virtual Classroom sessions and E-Learning modules.
