Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and safety. The Painter will work on various projects, including residential and commercial properties, and will be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and textures.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the painting process.
- Conduct regular maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to painting tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the preparation and application processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- A valid driving licence may be advantageous for travelling between job sites.
