Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Safely drive the van to designated locations for deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations is an advantage.
