We’re looking for a resourceful, imaginative and bold Midweight UX Designer to join our team!

As a Midweight UX Designer at the UK’s largest supermarket, you'll be crafting experiences that help millions of people shop better and help our varied colleague and supplier base work better. You’ll help to discover new opportunities, contributing to the intuitive and effortless solutions that improve every stage of both our customer shopping journey and colleague and supplier experience!

Tesco has a proud history of innovation and has dedicated teams to ensure we continue to focus in this area. Tesco Labs is the innovation, research and development team within Tesco Technology. This is a special opportunity to work directly with this team day to day!

The team leads all aspects of a dynamic portfolio of technology innovation products, ranging from near-term opportunities with greater certainty to groundbreaking, exciting innovations.

You’ll get to understand business objectives and user expectations, assisting in crafting design solutions that surpass both. And you’ll become an expert in testing, iterating and improving what you do and how you do it.

Audiences don't get bigger or more diverse than this. We have 11 million active app users and 360,000 colleagues at Tesco globally. So, you’ll really need to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You'll need a big appetite for human-centred design, customer research and data and analytics. Collaboration mixed with expertise and insight is the recipe for successful design. So you’ll be working with some of the finest UX and UI designers, researchers, UX writers, service designers, data and analytics experts, product managers and developers.

Our secret ingredient is our digital design system. So, you’ll need some experience using one, whether it's just a pinch to improve a prototype or a big dollop to shape a whole user journey.
