We’re looking for a detail-driven, tech-savvy team player to join our busy and fast-evolving production team in Gateshead. You’ll be at the heart of a service that transforms standard print into accessible formats—Braille, Audio, and Large Print—empowering individuals with visual impairments to access information independently.
What you'll be doing
Your day-to-day will be varied and fast-paced, with responsibilities that include:
- Turning everyday print into accessible formats using Microsoft Word, Excel, and specialist software
- Scanning, extracting and processing data using bespoke tools
- Proofreading and quality checking final products to the highest standards
- Uploading content to client portals, meeting strict SLAs
- Troubleshooting issues and reporting non-conformances clearly and efficiently
- Suggesting and implementing process improvements
- Maintaining and updating macros and configuration files in line with client specifications
- Supporting colleagues through training and collaborative working
- Managing data securely and ensuring accurate entry and reporting
You’ll also play a key role in shaping how we work—suggesting smarter ways to operate and staying ahead of evolving client needs. This is more than a production role; it’s an opportunity to make real improvements to people’s lives through inclusive communication.
What we're looking for and how to apply:
To apply, please submit your CV and Supporting Statement which evidences:
- Experience in a production environment and confidence with machinery and software
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment
- Experience of working effectively within a team
- Experience of managing your time effectively to meet deadlines
- A time when you’ve suggested improvements or made changes to enhance customer experience
- What makes you a good communicator
