The Optical Assistant is a part of a health care team and has the responsibility to provide optical services to patients in a professional manner. The candidate must be patient and have excellent customer service, as the candidate must interact with customers on a daily basis. The candidate must also be capable in time of finding solutions to any optical problems.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team.
- Be able to communicate and follow oral and written instructions.
- Carry out repetitive tasks and do repeated movements over long periods of time.
- Read measuring instruments and understand how the instruments work.
- Operate a variety of machinery.
