Trailer / Heavy Plant Fitter
Full-time, Permanent | £34,440 - £44,000 per year
Based at Muldoon Workshop – some site visits may be required
Muldoon is hiring an experienced Trailer / Heavy Plant Fitter to maintain and service a full range of trailers and equipment. This role is mainly workshop-based, with occasional customer site work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, service, and repair trailers to high standards while ensuring compliance with all company EHS policies and legislation
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance for optimal equipment performance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and completed work
- Complete compliance documentation accurately and on time
- Safely operate company vehicles, following road laws and company policies
- Participate in all required company training
- Provide excellent customer service and meet deadlines
- Always follow company health and safety procedures
- Demonstrate Muldoon’s values and ethics in all tasks
Qualifications:
- Time Served technician or City & Guilds Levels 1, 2 & 3, or equivalent
- Strong technical experience in trailer repairs
- Welding experience preferred
- Bulk Blower Vehicle maintenance experience is a plus, but not essential
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Competent in completing written documentation
