VOCON Traffic Management are looking for people who want to join our growing Traffic Management business.
Multiple vacancies in our depots in Derby DE21, Sheffield S9 and Normanton WF6.
THE JOB:
- Monitoring and observing our traffic lights and intervening to aid traffic flow (training provided on how to use lights)
- Gate person at closure points and advising members of public about diversion routes
- Marshalling at Events - (Music festivals, 5k/10k/half marathon/marathons, parades, Christmas light switch on, etc.)
- Work as a second operative with a fully trained operative
- While on site maintaining traffic management system - ensuring cones, frames and barriers are upright and site is kept tidy
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES - YOU SHOULD BE:
- Wants flexible hours to suit their needs with the ability to pick and choose their shift patterns
- Ideally have their own transport but inner city working is available using public transport
- If you accept a shift you must be punctual
- Good communicator, able to speak to members of public and team worker
QUALIFICATIONS
The below are advantageous but not essential
- Lantra approved TTMBC or above (will be provided if not held)
- SLG unit 10
- CSCS
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.25-£14.00 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Lantra Trained (preferred)
