Are you an experienced and compassionate Learning Support Assistant with a passion for inclusive education?
A welcoming and nurturing primary school in Shoreham is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a child with cerebral palsy . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that values every child and fosters a caring, inclusive environment where all learners can thrive.
About the Role:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child with cerebral palsy, focusing on both learning and physical access to the curriculum
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver a tailored support plan
- Assist with mobility, communication, and classroom engagement
- Encourage independence and confidence in a safe, supportive setting
✅ Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with physical disabilities or complex medical needs (experience with cerebral palsy is highly desirable)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and child-centred support Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Moving & Handling training) are a plus
