Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and individuals with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. This role involves providing support, guidance, and therapeutic interventions to enhance the well-being of our clients. The Counselor will utilise applied behaviour analysis techniques and collaborate with families to develop effective strategies for personal growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to children and individuals with disabilities.
- Implement applied behaviour analysis strategies to promote positive behaviours and skill development.
- Work closely with clients diagnosed with autism, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs.
- Collaborate with families to develop personalised care plans that address specific challenges.
- Administer medication as required, ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment plans, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and patient care.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of applied behaviour analysis principles and techniques.
- Background in special education or related fields is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective documentation and collaboration.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients' needs.

Pay: £28,963.02-£32,828.55 per year
