The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 / Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 to Friday, one day finishing at 15:30.

To provide a comprehensive and efficient administration service for the nursing teams in the theatre and recovery suites of Gartnavel General Hospital. This is a patient facing role based within Gartnavel Day Surgery Unit. The admin assistant must have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of staff including nursing, surgeons, anaesthetists, coordinators, and administrators. The post holder must have excellent interpersonal skills to demonstrate an all-round professional attitude, and have the ability to work independently whilst being part of a larger team and be able to use their initiative. Experience of Microsoft Office packages, including word, excel and outlook is desirable. The post holder would be expected to input data onto systems and run reports. Awareness of data protection and patient confidentiality are essential.
