Auto4 specialises in the supply of tyre equipment and consumable products to the tyre industry, whether that be car, commercial or earthmover.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Telesales Administrator, based in Didcot. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Role Dimensions
- A key member of the overall sales team and more specifically a member of the rapidly growing telesales team
- Responsible for developing your own customer base
- Reports to the Telesales Manager
- Daily call rate in the region of 80 to 100 calls per day; conversion rate in the region of 10%
Job Purpose
- Through desk research and outbound call activity build and maintain a customer base that generates monthly sales revenues of circa £20k per month – this is a minimum requirement
- To ensure that there is a constant stream of new business being developed
- Where necessary support the field sales team with outbound call activity. This will generally be marketing campaign specific
- When necessary (depending upon resource) support the inbound sales support team
- To ensure that your customers honour our payment terms
- To be a champion of customer service
Key Responsibilities
- To carry out desk research to identify prospects
- To outbound call customers and prospects alike to ensure sales targets are achieved
- To maintain an accurate customer and prospect database
- To effectively and efficiently plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly sales calls
- To determine motivating propositions and promotions and communicate them effectively to your existing customers and prospects
- To manage your debtor book and where necessary, tactfully and professionally encouraging your customers to honour our payment terms
- To achieve exceptional levels of customer service and deliver on our promise of a guaranteed next day delivery
- To generate customer quotations
- To become an expert in the products that we sell and the industry that we operate within
- To ensure that targets are achieved, and where negative variances occur, recovery plans are quickly devised and implemented
- To provide daily and weekly reporting of sales activity
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Required:
- At least 2 years’ experience in sales or customer service preferably in the automotive aftermarket or a similar environment
- Excellent communicator both verbal and written
- Experience of using ERP or similar software
- Previous sales/purchase forecasting experience
- Confident and dynamic
- Proactive and commercial
The role is site based working 08.30am-5:00pm Monday - Friday from our Didcot office.
