Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our Tearoomd maintains its reputation for excellent food and service.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account seasonal availability of ingredients.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
