TalentBoard is currently recruiting qualified Early Years Teaching Assistants to support Early Years departments within local primary schools. We’re looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about working with young children and committed to supporting their early development.
Whether you have direct experience in a school setting or transferable skills from related roles in childcare or early education, we welcome applications from those ready to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities.
- Support the observation and assessment of children’s progress.
- Help implement structured routines and learning plans tailored to early developmental stages.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff.
- Promote children’s emotional wellbeing and social development.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Support behaviour management in line with school policies.
- Provide guidance to other staff working within the Early Years setting.
Qualification Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or a related field is preferred.
- Understanding of early childhood development and learning approaches.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to support inclusive learning and adapt to different needs.
- A genuine interest in supporting young children’s growth and learning.
- First aid or child safeguarding certification is beneficial.
