### **Your Role:**
As a **Teaching Assistant**, you’ll play a vital role in **providing tailored support** to students who face challenges with **engagement, behaviour, and emotional regulation**. Your encouragement will help them **develop academically and socially**, fostering independence and self-belief.
### **Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver **personalised support**, working with students one-on-one and in small groups.
- Assist in developing and implementing **individual education plans (IEPs)** to meet diverse learning needs.
- Create a **calm, structured classroom environment** that promotes well-being and focus.
- Use **positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques** to support emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with **teachers, therapists, and specialists** to enhance student success.
- Encourage **social engagement and inclusion**, supporting students during break times.
### **Who You Are:**

- Experienced in supporting **children with SEMH or special educational needs** (beneficial but not required).
### **Your Qualifications & Skills:**
- **GCSEs in English & Maths** (or equivalent).
- **Experience in a school or care setting** (preferred but not essential).
- Training in **de-escalation techniques, therapeutic approaches, or Makaton** (a plus but not required).
