Position: Systems Administrator (HR)
Contract Type: Temporary until approximately February 2027 to cover maternity leave
Salary: Grade F Salary £37,280 - £41,771 per annum
Location: Headquarters, Ripley, Derbyshire
Hours: 37 hours per week, however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours. Agile working arrangements can be discussed with the successful candidate.

About the Role:
Are you a detail-oriented systems expert with a passion for improving HR service delivery? We’re looking for a Systems Administrator (HR) to join our team.
You’ll be responsible for administering, developing, and maintaining the HR database and associated systems, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with Data Protection legislation. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across the Service.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, test, and maintain HR systems, including user setup, documentation, and training plans.
Manage system updates and improvements, ensuring accurate records and effective governance.
Maintain system security and access controls, including self-service functionality.
Validate data quality across workflows, reports, and interfaces.
Produce and present reports to support workforce planning and management decisions.
Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with providers to ensure minimal disruption.
Deliver training and create user guides to support system users.
Support departmental processes including pay awards, contractual changes, and leave calculations.
Drive continuous improvement through system functionality development and automation.
Provide statistical analysis and reporting to support organisational planning and performance.
Act as a subject matter expert on HR systems, offering guidance and impact analysis.
Required Qualifications and Experience:We’re looking for someone with:
Knowledge of management information systems and data structures (HR related).
Experience in system administration, user management, and configuration.
Proven ability to test systems and databases effectively.
Skills in creating training materials and delivering system-related training.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience in data analysis and reporting.
A problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade A-C / Level 4+) or equivalent.
BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Business and Administration or equivalent experience.
