Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities. Ideal candidates will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other special needs.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient care and support in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Assist with medication administration as per care plans.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health care, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility assistance.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A compassionate attitude towards caregiving and a commitment to improving the lives of others.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
