About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Project Worker. This role involves supporting vulnerable adults who have experienced homelessness, helping them to access the services, skills, and confidence needed to move forward in life.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day emotional and practical support to residents.
- Helping residents develop life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and maintaining a tenancy.
- Supporting residents with mental health challenges and/or substance misuse issues, promoting access to specialist services where needed.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, health services, and community organisations, to support positive resident outcomes.
- Supporting individuals to attend appointments and engage with education, training, or employment opportunities.
- Ensuring accurate records are kept in line with organizational policies and key tasks such as applying for Housing and other benefits are timely completed,
- Contributing to a safe and positive living environment.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, understanding, and committed to making a difference.
- Experienced in working with vulnerable adults (previous homelessness sector experience is an advantage).
- A strong communicator who can work both independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
- Organized, adaptable, team player and able to respond calmly to challenging situations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care is desirable (or willing to work towards it).
- Various training opportunities will be provided as part of the role.
