As a growing charity, we are looking to expand our team of Support Workers to provide valuable and caring support to adults with learning disabilities. This particular role will provide support to a lovely gentleman who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, cortical blindness and learning difficulties. He is looking for a Support Worker who will enjoy his constantly happy demeanour, his love of stories and who will help with activities and outings. Requirements
- You are an experienced Support Worker
- You hold a full manual UK driving licence
- You will complete 2 shifts a week. Shifts usually run from 7.30am-7.30pm or 8am-8pm, with a requirement for alternate weekends. We require candidates who can offer flexibility.
- You provide a nurturing, supportive and patient approach
- You have strong communication skills, being able to pick up on both verbal and non-verbal cues

Main responsibilities
- To provide person-centred support to the people who use our services.
- To follow the support plans of the people we support and any other relevant documentation
- To support all people in line with their individual communication needs
- Assist with daily living activities, which may include meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
- Maintain open communication with the people we support, their families and within the staffing team to ensure needs are met effectively.
