Adel Professional Hair and Beauty is a Yorkshire based company with 11 trade stores and training academies trading for the professional customer. We are distributors of professional hair and beauty products from some of the worlds leading brands.
We are looking for a 22 hour Supervisor in our store in Barnsley to cover a Maternity Secondment.
You will currently be Supervisor or Senior Sales with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer facing environment looking for your next challenge. Experience in Retail/Hair and Beauty is desirable but not necessary. Please note, this role will include visiting and delivering to salons across Barnsley and Wakefield and include an element of bringing on new customers via salon visits.

Reports to: Store Manager
Overall Job Purpose:
To support the Store Manager to run the branch efficiently and effectively in order to meet sales targets, achieve the best in customer care service and to create a happy and secure workplace.
Main Responsibilities:
Business & Sales
- To achieve set sales targets
- To generate new business by creating sales opportunities in order to achieve and improve upon sales targets, this includes own brand products.
- To know your market, existing customers, potential customers, and the activities of your competitors
- Analysing and improving department sales in store
- To support the Store Manager in developing delivering an individual Store Action Plan
Staff
- Overall to lead by example.
- To manage the staff on a day-to-day basis ensuring they are motivated and efficient.
- To carry out staff training and induction.
- To encourage all staff to input ideas and suggestions to enhance the working environment, improve sales and improve their own skills.
- To communicate relevant issues with the branch manager.
- To support branch management in any issues involving staff.
- To manage own personal development and facilitate with the Store Manager
Customer Experience
- To ensure customers receive the highest level of customer service and care at all times
- To deliver and encourage an high level of Customer Experience
- To ensure staff understand and practice the Adel Professional Mission Statement and Values
Operational Responsibilities
- Monies and stock
- All securities involving the building and staff
- To ensure the smooth running of store administration procedures
- To ensure all merchandising/displays/stock/shelves are clean and tidy in accordance with Company standards and stock rotation is carried out
- To ensure all stock coding and pricing are correct
- To proactively manage the stock system ensuring all team members are fully trained and competent
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: £12.41 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 22 per week
