Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and assistance. Your responsibilities will include helping clients with daily activities, maintaining their dignity, and promoting their independence while adhering to care plans. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld in both care home settings and clients' homes.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and documentation.
