Job Title: Street Scene Driver Labourer
Contract: 1-Month Temporary Contract, with the likelihood of an extension
Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Job Purpose
To support the Street Scene team by undertaking a range of environmental maintenance tasks including litter picking, fly-tip removal, and leaf clearance. The role includes driving Council vehicles, manual labour, and using power tools to help maintain clean and safe public spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Council vehicles to and from various sites as required.
- Carry out daily litter picking duties on designated routes or areas.
- Assist with the removal of fly-tipped waste in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Undertake general manual labour tasks, including loading and unloading equipment or debris.
- Use leaf blowers and strimmers for grounds maintenance and leaf clearing.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools, vehicles, and equipment.
- Report hazards, incidents, or repairs needed in public areas to supervisors.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet service targets and maintain high standards.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience in outdoor manual work.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable using handheld equipment (leaf blower, strimmer).
- Good awareness of health and safety requirements.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a Street Scene or similar public services role.
- Knowledge of waste management practices.
Other Information
- This is a temporary 1-month role, with the potential for extension depending on operational needs.
- PPE will be provided.
- Candidates must be available to start immediately or within short notice.
