Wright’s Oak & Smoke is an independent street food business known for bold flavours, -smoked cooking, and a welcoming, community-driven approach. We serve at events, pop-ups, and private bookings around York and beyond.
Role Overview:
Days: Flexible – shifts. Most will fall on Thursday and Friday but must have the flexibility to work Saturday and Sunday when needed.
We’re looking for a reliable, friendly, and hands-on person to join our small team. This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day running of the business, including event service, setup and pack-down, and general business support. You will also be required to travel to Thorganby on weeks that we don't have events to support with every day business tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with food service at events
- Helping with setup and breakdown of the trailer and stall
- Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards
- Occasionally helping with other business tasks e.g supporting in our spice rub production
Requirements:
- Must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Comfortable working on your feet and in fast-paced environments
- Friendly, professional, and a good team player
