Are you ready to make a real impact at a strategic level?
We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking HR professional to partner with a wide range of stakeholders to support the organisation’s strategic objectives, improve workforce productivity and aid recruitment & retention, using their expertise across all contractual issues and employment law relating to pay and reward and national Terms & Conditions.

Reporting into the Deputy Director for People & OD (HR & People Change) you will use your strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills to deliver meaningful change, and by driving robust controls and governance, you’ll play a key part in contributing to the Trust’s financial sustainability, realising tangible savings and cost reductions year on year.

At the core of everything you do will be transparency and equity, ensuring all colleagues are treated fairly and feel valued, supported, and rewarded for the vital contribution they make.

Work closely with the Trust’s Senior Leadership to design and support the implementation of pay and reward methodologies.

Be responsible for the supervision of the implementation of all medical and non-medical employment contracts in the Trust

Report to the Associate Director of HR & Resourcing and work closely with HR Service Leads and HRBPs to support the successful operationalisation of strategy and policy.

Be the in-house Subject Matter Expert on all matters relating to pay, reward and benefits, and terms and conditions of service.

Be the Trust’s lead in all matters relating to Job Evaluation (JE).

Be the Trust’s lead in all trade union negotiations in matters relating to reward, contracts and terms & conditions of service.

On-site presence required for a minimum of 75% of the time initially

We take pride in placing people at the centre of everything we do, working together as a united team. Driven by a shared ambition to continually grow, develop, and learn, we recognise and value every contribution. By combining our experience and skills, we not only support our vibrant, diverse communities, but also support one another.

With a team of over 9,000 employees, we are proud to be the largest employer in Gloucestershire. By joining our Trust, you will benefit from an excellent package that includes exclusive benefits, flexible working opportunities and the chance to gain valuable experience in one or both of our innovative hospitals.

As well as generous annual leave allowance, you will have access to the excellent NHS pension scheme, competitive bank rates, discounts at local shops and restaurants, access to two on-site nurseries, discounted public transport, reward and recognition and a range of health and wellbeing initiatives to support you.

With a strong sense of community, Gloucestershire is an ideal place to build your career while enjoying the great outdoors. With its beautiful countryside, excellent schools and cultural festivals, it’s a great place to live and work.
