Initially the training will be on a Monday to Friday shift 08:00am to 17:00pm (½ hour lunch), once fully trained the role will move onto a 4-week shift pattern to provide cover in the section between 06:00am to 21:00pm as arranged inclusive of 1 Saturday in 3. Training duration is estimated to be approximately 3 months.
The main purpose of your job is the storage, supply and administration of the company’s consumables and vehicle parts. Duties include issuing parts to LGV technicians, parts orders and receipts, processing job cards, stock checks, answering telephone calls and data input
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all orders placed by you for goods and/or services are correctly recorded in the company’s purchase order books or on the company’s stock control computer system.
- To ensure that when placing orders for goods or services that the supplier you are placing the order with is the most cost competitive and reliable to the best of your knowledge.
- To take receipt of such ordered goods and services and to check them thoroughly prior to acceptance of the goods.
- To maintain adequate stock levels of all essential items and to place re-orders in good time to ensure stock levels do not run out.
- To liaise with the company’s mechanics and fabricators and to administer from the stores any reasonable requests for parts or consumables to them.
- To ensure that all parts and/or consumables given out for use by yourself are properly recorded.
- To maintain the security of the stores area at all times by ensuring doors are locked and no unauthorised personnel enter the stores.

- Full UK Driving Licence
