Main Purpose of Position in line with Company Objectives:
To control all material movements in line with the business needs and customer demand, while maintaining updated and accurate records of stock and cycle counts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect and store materials delivered, and book all parts received on Sage by close of the working day.
- Relay delivery errors to key stakeholders. Attempt up front resolution on these issues where possible.
- Ensure all goods received are stored correctly whether inside or out in the yard. Ensure the tidiness and general housekeeping of the storage areas and that 5s and LEAN methodologies are being implemented.
- Pack and despatch goods, along with arranging collections via the Freight Forwarders respective system, while checking for proof of delivery (POD) from previous deliveries when required.
- Kitting for service jobs and placing the required parts on to the Contract Shelf.
- Kitting Production Works orders and picking on system as and when requested by production.
- Liaise with Procurement Lead regarding daily perpetual inventory (PI) counts and assist the business in the end of year stock.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations with regards to the handling and storage of goods.
- Carry out other relevant duties within the remit of the job, as and when required by the business.
Requirements
- Inventory and materials handling process experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse and materials management experience.
- Capable of working on own initiative
- Working with MRP Systems
- Microsoft Excel and Word
- Planning & Organising Workload
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work in a physically demanding role.
