What we do.
This particular role is at our Bakkavor Bread site based in Barton-upon-Humber, close to the Humber Bridge. This factory specialises in making chilled speciality baguettes at high volume and employs over 165 people.
About the role.
We manufacture a wide range of high-quality chilled products for our dedicated customers at our Bakkavor sites. Our production lines are non-stop, so you’ll be kept busy creating our products. Working right at the heart of our fast-paced, high-pressured environment, you’ll enjoy plenty of variety, be encouraged to find where your strengths lie and supported to achieve your full potential.
Staff Shop Assistant duties include:
- Responsible for processing card and cash payments, reconciliation, banking accurately.
- Ordering stock online and via the telephone from suppliers and internal departments.
- Replenish and display stock in an organised, presentable way for both chilled and ambient merchandise.
- Ensure stock rotation is adhered to and charities informed for last day of life products.
- Complete chilled temperature checks reporting any maintenance issues.
- Actively promotes staff shop offers to all site employees.
- Support the business by maintaining high standards throughout.
- Upkeep of all required paperwork (stock taking, temperature checks, loading paperwork, delivery paperwork etc.).
- Monitor continual replenishment & correct rotation of stock.
- Control of stock through Bakkavor stock control system.
- Adherence to internal hygiene/safety standards.
About you.
- Relevant Customer Service/Administration experience.
- Excellent Numeracy and Literacy skills and experience with documentation and administration.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent team working skills to effectively collaborate with other members of the team.
- Flexible approach to work and hours.
- Good communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
