We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time sports coach to lead our lunch time sports clubs five days a week. The ideal candidate will have a background in sports coaching, a love for working with children, and the ability to inspire young children to develop their skills and enjoy physical activity. This role is perfect for someone looking to make a positive impact on students' health and well-being whilst fostering a love for sports and teamwork.
This is a self employed role.
Key hours: 12:00pm - 1:30pm. Additional hours may come available and there will be opportunities to work during our half term sports camps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging sports sessions during lunch time, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Organise and supervise lunch time sports activities for primary aged students of varying age groups and skill levels.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, promoting fair play and respect among students.
- Collaborate with school staff to promote participation in sports clubs and events.
- Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and in good condition.
- Monitor children’s behaviour and intervene before escalation.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Previous experience in coaching or teaching sports, preferably with children.
- A strong understanding of various sports and the ability to teach fundamental skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- An NGB coaching qualification or equivalent
- First Aid
- Enhanced DBS
