NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

We have an opportunity for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our Glasgow City Community Paediatric Team. This post will be linked to the North West Glasgow SLT Team. You will work within an established team of SLTs and Clinical Support Workers aligned to the local leadership team.

We welcome applicants with a range of clinical knowledge and practice experience appropriate to a Band 5 experiential level. Understanding how to support young people, families and communities in the context of communication and neurodevelopmental differences and enacting this are the fundamental aspects of this post. Being able to work collaboratively and effectively with close partners in health and education will be a significant. Working as part of the wider Specialist Children’s Services team in neurodevelopmental assessment will be part of this role.

This is a clinical post which will require you to be primarily based in the clinical team base when not out on clinical visits.

The core team hours are 9am-5pm across the core working days, Monday–Friday.
