Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and patrons. The Door Supervisor will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring compliance with licensing laws.
Duties
- Monitor the entrance and exit points to ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
- Conduct thorough checks of patrons as they enter, ensuring compliance with age restrictions and other regulations.
- Implement effective crowd control measures during busy periods or events.
- Respond promptly to incidents, providing first aid when necessary and liaising with emergency services if required.
- Utilise surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to monitor activities within the venue and identify potential security threats.
- Collaborate with management to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, ensuring all reports are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist in training new staff on security protocols and emergency procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in a security role or as a Door Supervisor is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
- Certification in First Aid is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation, is beneficial.
- Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for this role.
