We currently have a vacancy in our busy and growing facility in Plymouth.
As a shot blaster / material preparation operative you will be responsible for the following:-
- Prepare parts and welded assemblies for painting either by blasting or using hand tools.
- Blasting painted and corroded work back to clean material as part of the restoration process.
- Cleaning galvanised metalwork ready for painting using hand tools and power tools.
- Assisting with assembly of component products ready for despatch.
- Assisting with packing of completed painted work for despatch.
- Review of finished assemblies, parts and product to quality requirements.
- All of the above work will be carried out in accordance to health and safety procedures and to comply with our ISO9001 quality system.
- House-keeping is expected of all employees.
- Basic maintenance of the machinery you're using
- Driving licence an advantage but not essential
- Forklift licence an advantage but not essential
- Heavy lifting required as many of the parts will be reasonably heavy but within safe lifting practic.
This role involves working in a closed space and requires someone with good health and physically fit and strong.
Working Hours: Mon - Fri - 7:30am Start - Overtime available (and expected of all staff when the work load requires it - Saturday work also available)
