We are a rapidly growing e-commerce company delivering a range of products from household to garden, pets to DIY, and office ware. As part of this development, we are looking for a Shipping Coordinator for maternity cover to join our Logistics organization based at our office in Bedford. As a Shipping Coordinator you will have the responsibility as below
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and process shipments in accordance with multiple defined cut off times, generating tracking ID’s and requesting shipping labels which are to be distributed to the Companies’ warehouses.
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure on-time performance in line with defined KPI & SLA’s.
- Address and resolve shipping-related issues, such as collection or delivery delays.
- Assist in customs compliance and documentation for offshore shipments.
- Monitor and interact with key partner platforms.
- Collaborate with the team to improve shipping processes and efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports and performance metrics for shipping activities.
- Manage and maintain shipping documentation, records, and files.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking of shipping supplies.
- Support Inbound shipping function for Sea Freight arrivals and final mile delivery
- Support delivery scheduling aligned with warehouse capacity
- Assist with internal inventory planning process to enable distribution of product between multiple warehouses
Knowledge and Skills Needed
- 3 years of Proven experience in shipping and logistics or a related field.
- Excellent numeracy, literacy, and personal organisational skills. Experience in ERP/WMS systems as part of daily activities and usage of Microsoft Office suite, specifically with expert level Excel skills
- Timely response and reaction to schedule changes with carriers and internal stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness combined with a data driven work ethic.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Schedule:
- Contracts are 40 hours per week.
- Candidate working shift pattern will be 5 days that includes weekends on a rotating shift pattern
- Fixed-term contract of up to 12 months, with the potential for review after 6 months
- Initial training will take place over a few weeks at our Northampton site and is a requirement for the role
