About the role
We are looking for a 6 month FTC to join our SHEQ team.
This role will provide essential administrative, operational and compliance support to the SHEQ team. Your role will play a key part in supporting the operational delivery of health and safety systems, inspections, incident reporting, contractor management and compliance monitoring.
No previous health and safety background or experience is needed for this role. We need someone who wants to learn and develop their skills and support creating safe environment within the renewables world. Training and development will be provided in this role, including mentoring from our experienced health and safety practitioners.
What you will do
- Assist the SHEQ team with day-to-day administrative tasks, maintain accurate records and databases (including incidents, inspections, training, and audits), and manage version control within the Health & Safety Management System.
- Support the SHEQ team with inspections and audits across all sites, update safety noticeboards and compliance trackers, and promptly escalate safety concerns to senior team.
- Help organise internal training sessions, maintain training records and matrices, and assist with basic fact-finding, including gathering witness statements, photographs etc.
What you’ll need to succeed
Essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Sharepoint with a proactive, multitasking approach to managing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Prioritise / manage a diverse workload and meet targets and deadlines.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

- IOSH Managing Safely
- Experience in renewables or SHEQ-related roles
