Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to support students in their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves working closely with students who are not in mainstream schooling for a variety of reasons, you will be required to enhance their understanding of various subjects including English and Maths, while also catering to individual learning needs.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student goals.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student engagement and confidence.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including attendance and progress reports.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational principles.
- Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and adaptability in various learning situations.
- Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous, enabling support for students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents alike.

Pay: £20.00-£35.00 per hour
