Meet the team behind this journey

The recently formed Treasury team within DeepL's Finance department is committed to optimising financial resources, managing risks, and developing insightful financial strategies to support the company's long-term objectives. As a member of this team, you will collaborate closely with various departments, including Accounting (i.e. for financial result reporting) and FP&A (i.e. for cash flow planning). Furthermore, this role provides an exceptional chance to collaborate with the Engineering and the C-level team to drive strategic initiatives and organizational success.

Your responsibilities

• Cash Management: Manage day-to-day cash and bank account management across all legal entities. You’ll lead intercompany transfers, currency conversions, and end-to-end cash visibility.

• Cash Forecasting: Develop and maintain a robust cash forecasting process. Your forecasts will directly inform funding decisions and capital allocation.

• Banking Operations: Serve as the primary point of contact for banking operations, including account openings/closures, signatory management, and upkeep of the Bank Matrix. Ensure all banking infrastructure supports global expansion and is secure, cost-efficient, and scalable.

• Foreign Exchange Strategy: Analyze DeepL’s FX exposure and develop strategies to mitigate currency risk, including the use of appropriate hedging instruments.

• Management Reporting: Own the production of the Monthly Executive Treasury Dashboard and Weekly Manager Reports, delivering concise, data-driven insights to senior stakeholders. These reports will track performance, highlight risks, and support strategic financial decision-making.

• Insurance, Credit Rating & Investor Relations Support: Manage corporate insurance coverage in partnership with legal and external providers. Contribute to credit rating assessments and support investor relations with treasury-related disclosures and analyses as needed
