The Role

The Senior Surveyor position within the Rating team is to deliver profitable fee income to the business. This is a position requiring a broad range of experience over various property types and the ability to undertake work with the minimum of supervision.

Whilst not directly responsible for staff, the role will require providing guidance and training to junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Technical competence on rating matters
  • Effective negotiation in order to deliver to clients required outcomes
  • Works independently on most assignments, receiving guidance as appropriate from senior team members
  • Has broad knowledge of principles and practices of related disciplines
  • Can effectively manage own workload and meet deadlines
  • Adheres to processes agreed both internally and externally
  • Can identify new business opportunities within own discipline and pass on
  • Manages existing client relationships at middle to senior mgt level on day to day basis
  • Can work independently to prepare standard reports, valuations, submissions and on more complex issues with guidance
  • Is responsible for a number of small instructions
  • Active team player
  • Shares information with colleagues and others
  • Advises and guides graduates and administrative employees on an ad hoc basis

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to degree level
  • MRICS

EXPERIENCE

  • Track record of delivery in the UK Real Estate market with a Rating background
  • Previous experience and evidence of enhancing performance through growth and profitability
