We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our therapeutic residential home for children near Langley, Slough. Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent emotional and practical support tailored to each child’s individual needs
- Act as a role model and mentor to junior staff, supporting professional development and best practices
- Assist in creating and implementing personalised care plans and therapeutic interventions
- Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive environment that supports each child’s growth and wellbeing
- Ensure full compliance with safeguarding procedures and all relevant regulatory standards
- Build strong working relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
- Accurately maintain records, contribute to reviews, and support care planning
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Essential
- Experience working in a children’s residential care setting – Required
- Leadership or shift-leading experience – Highly desirable
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- A child-centred, resilient, and empathetic approach to care
- Full UK Driving Licence – Preferred
