This post has 2 main roles: BCG/Hep B senior specialist immunisation practitioner – a vaccinating and leadership role within the community & school aged immunisation team, alongside supporting the CSAIS team to deliver all community and school based vaccinations.
The role requires experience of delivering BCG vaccinations in addition to other routine vaccinations.
- Proposed interview date: 7-July-2025*
- Lead the local area team in the delivery of the BCG and Hepatitis B immunisation programmes. To support the local CSAIS team with other programmes, when required.
- To feed into service evaluations and service improvements, growing the service based on the needs to the local populations, to include other clinic based vaccination programmes, such as the under 5s.
- T o work collaboratively with the Immunisation teams to provide a service which meets the KPIs and expectations of the commissioners.
- To work with local statutory, private and voluntary providers and users to develop and promote practice that is accessible and responsive to all sections of the local community, ensuring that services are targeted to the most vulnerable groups and individuals to support social inclusion.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To work according to the national and local guidelines on immunisations
Efficiently lead the BCG/HepB team to ensure a seamless delivery of the prgoramme
Management will include handling roatas, roster, leave requests, sickness and all other aspects of team managment, as required
Work closely with the BCG/Hep B EoE Clinical Lead and local CSAIS teams
To uphold the Trust values by demonstrating flexibility, dedication and care to team members and our service users and their families
Identify opportunities for meaningful involvement of service users and carers in relation to the development of immunisation service
