Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) provides community-based healthcare services across the East of England with a value driven approach that is innovative, caring and agile. HCT's Community and School Aged Immunisation Service (CSAIS) works together with other stakeholders to identify eligible individuals and provide immunisations in community and school settings, as well as providing dynamic responses to disease outbreaks wherever required.

This post has 2 main roles: BCG/Hep B senior specialist immunisation practitioner – a vaccinating and leadership role within the community & school aged immunisation team, alongside supporting the CSAIS team to deliver all community and school based vaccinations.

The role requires experience of delivering BCG vaccinations in addition to other routine vaccinations.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To work according to the national and local guidelines on immunisations
Efficiently lead the BCG/HepB team to ensure a seamless delivery of the prgoramme
Management will include handling roatas, roster, leave requests, sickness and all other aspects of team managment, as required
Work closely with the BCG/Hep B EoE Clinical Lead and local CSAIS teams
To uphold the Trust values by demonstrating flexibility, dedication and care to team members and our service users and their families
Identify opportunities for meaningful involvement of service users and carers in relation to the development of immunisation service
