Location: UK Hybrid Manchester client site x 2 days per week and when required (Monthly Team meeting on a Monday is compulsory and must be within 1 hour commuting distance)

The Role

As a Senior Recruiter, you will assist Hiring Managers in filling open positions by offering expert guidance and ensuring quality throughout the recruitment process. You will be responsible for creating and delivering excellent recruitment services and following the established service agreements. This role requires to use recruitment technology tools and manage process. For our roles you’ll engage directly with the client where you will give expert advice and manage their expectations at every stage of the hiring process.

Key Accountabilities

What you’ll be doing:


  • Create and maintain trusted partner relationships with senior hiring managers/stakeholders
  • Independent execution of the end-to-end delivery of recruitment services to them, providing counsel, advising through insight and SME knowledge on the recruitment process and ensuring that timelines are correctly identified and met
  • Lead discussion on attraction strategies, working with hiring managers to correctly identify approach based on market and hiring demands
  • Make recommendations for best fit and skills profile, coaching hiring managers on what may or may not be achievable
  • Collaborate effectively with relevant teams to ensure a smooth client and candidate experience
  • Take full ownership to ensure the recruitment service is delivered in line with contractual obligations and client service level agreements
  • Lead vacancy consultation discussions to agree the recruitment plans with hiring managers– this includes role requirements, sourcing strategy, DEI requirements, pay range, agreed timeframes, responsibilities of all involved, and the selection process

Skills & Experience

You’ll need to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in legal recruitment or within a high-touch, client-facing role in professional services
  • A background in recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) or as an in-house recruiter, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and talent acquisition within professional services
  • Ability to manage and influence Senior Stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build long-lasting relationships with candidates, clients and colleagues
  • Handles challenging conversations with confidence
  • Analytical mind, attention to detail and practical and proactive approach

Nice to Haves:


  • Experience working within a highly complex or matrixed organisation
  • Contingent/Volume hiring experience
  • Understanding of legal roles, terminology, qualifications, and practice areas (e.g., litigation, corporate law, IP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with law firm structures and in-house legal teams.
