Overview
CHAP Group are looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator to manage the weekly payroll, support the Payroll Manager, and oversee holiday record administration.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Process all aspects of the weekly payroll.
- Process/assist process the monthly payroll when required.
- Ensure payroll and pension processes and procedures follow current regulations.
- Provide cover for Payroll Manager when required.
- Undertake/assist with compiling reports (e.g. end of year).
- Liaison with HMRC.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
- Advise HR on payroll matters.
- Close liaison with operational management regarding payroll.
Qualifications & Competencies
Essential
- Equivalent to a minimum SCQF level 4/Nat 4 or 5 (or equivalent) passes in English and a numeracy subject.
- Previous computerised payroll experience.
- Previous senior experience.
- Previous experience of checking timesheets and calculating overtime payments.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be self-organised.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a construction/civil engineering industry related environment.
