About the Role:
- Become a vital part of Townhouse’s salon management as a Shift Leader/ Senior Nail Technician—the beginning of your journey into leadership. Your role is essential in overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting the Salon Manager, and ensuring the salon runs seamlessly.
- Step into the spotlight and lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment within the salon team. Support the Salon Manager in daily tasks and decision-making, providing guidance and assistance to team members as needed.
- Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service, adhering to Townhouse service standards. Address and promptly resolve customer concerns or issues professionally.
- Take charge of operational tasks, opening and closing the salon as required. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the salon, assisting in inventory management and stock control.
- Play a crucial role in training new team members, contributing to their successful onboarding. Provide ongoing support to enhance team performance.
- Monitor team performance and address any issues promptly. Collaborate with the Salon Manager to implement performance improvement plans.
Responsibilities:
- As Shift Leader/ Senior Nail Technician you will be conducting treatments whilst taking on supervisory responsibilities.
- Keep a close eye on day-to-day activities, assist the Salon Manager, and make sure our salon functions seamlessly.
- Set the tone for teamwork and positivity, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among our salon staff.
- Ensure every customer receives outstanding service that aligns with Townhouse’s high standards. Quickly address any concerns or issues that arise in a professional manner.
- Take charge of opening and closing duties, maintain cleanliness and organisation, and assist with inventory management and stock control.
- Help onboard new team members, providing guidance and ongoing support to help them succeed.
- Keep an eye on team performance and address any issues promptly. Work with the Salon Manager to implement plans for performance improvement when needed.
- Assist in creating and maintaining staff schedules, ensuring we have the right team in place during busy times.
Qualifications:
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrate previous experience as a Shift Leader/ Salon Supervisor or Senior Nail Technician.
- Must have full time availability.
- Have knowledge of nail products, techniques, and current trends.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Capable of maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Possess excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Work effectively within a team environment.
